A study published recently on Nature Scientific Reports proves that Covid-19 tends to spread more easily in areas with high air pollution. The team of teachers and doctoral students who carried out the study classified the Italian regions into four risk groups (very high, high, medium and low), taking into account various factors that, according to them, could have influenced the spread of the virus. The ranking emerged from this subdivision has actually proved to be real in the first and second wave of the pandemic.

Researchers also noted the similarity between the trend of the diffusion of the pandemic and that of seasonal influence. Actually, in both cases the regions most affected were those with greater air pollution such as those present in the Po Valley.

Therefore, these studies show the urgent need to take actions aimed at reducing air pollution to mitigate the ongoing pandemic, as well as to curb the worrying climate change, promoting the reduction of intensive livestock farms.

Today, we can protect ourselves against air pollution in the indoor environments in which we live, thanks to the innovative JoyBion ionizers that, by means of controlled bipolar ionization, are able to reproduce the pure air that you breathe when you are in the heart of nature.
