2022 begins with the pandemic spreading fast due to the arrival of the Omicron variant, which has taken off very quickly. All the measures previously taken to limit the spread of the virus seem to be insufficient, and we are beginning to understand the importance of tools like ventilation in closed spaces and appliances which ionise and sanitise the air. The WHO itself has begun to recommend the use of such devices as an essential tool to combat the spread of the virus; alongside the wearing of face masks, hand hygiene and social distancing, they can help considerably to limit infection.

This new awareness is due partly to the fact that it is now clear that we'll be living with the virus for some time yet and, since infection mainly occurs in closed and crowded spaces, it is here that further precautions should be taken. Simple ventilation of rooms by opening windows is certainly important, but this is not enough, and the installation of controlled mechanical ventilation systems is only possible in new buildings and, in any case, is a fairly costly solution. Installing appliances like ionisers, on the other hand, is extremely simple, relatively inexpensive and extremely effective, as they can eliminate viruses and bacteria from the air, leaving it more healthy and breathable.
